Our firm focuses on tax overages which are also sometimes referred to as surplus funds. They are the remaining funds that are payable to the previous owner when a tax deed auction occurs. When someone does not pay their local or state taxes on a property for a period of time the county will bring the home to a tax deed auction. The county only wants to collect on their owed taxes, so if the property sells for a greater amount than the taxes due then the remaining proceeds are payable to the previous owner. We are in the business of helping these individuals collect by working with the county in locating funds, claim instructions, preparing all documents, hiring notaries/lawyers, submitting claims and disbursing funds to our clients. We operate on a contingency basis, so there are NO upfront costs for our clients. We are only paid after the claim is successful.

We start working

We mail you a check

Once we succeeed in retrieving your funds, a check will be mailed to you. Upon receipt of your check and its depostied to your bank account, the process is finished.

What Is A Tax Overage?

Tax sale overages are the extra money left over when a property is sold at a tax sale auction for more than the amount of back taxes owed on the property.

How do I know this is not a scam and you won’t take my money?

Because we won’t take ANY money from you in advance. You are not to share any credit card details with anyone from our organization. You shouldn’t give us your bank account or any cash upfront. The only way we are compensated is if we manage to recover your funds.

How can I be certain that you won’t take all the funds?

We will sign an agreement that describes our services which you should also review before signing. Should you desire, you can also have your attorney review the agreement on your behalf. In this agreement, we make sure that we precisely cover everything including what percentage of these funds goes to us after we recover them for you.

Why should I Hire you If I can do it all by myself?

You certainly could pursue this process on your own.
